Data integrity, reliability and speed
InfoSnap uses client / server technology, thus increasing system reliability and data integrity. It also ensures that performance will still be high even when your database gets really large.
Hierarchical categories - user defined
Information stored in InfoSnap can be categorized, that is, assigned to specific categories. The list of categories is fully customizable by the users. This means the users can create as many categories they need, and arrange them in a hierarchical manner ("tree") to suit their needs.
Multiple bookmark sets
One of the features that greatly enhance InfoSnap's versatility is bookmark sets. A bookmark set is a set (list) of otherwise unrelated entries (ie not necessarily belonging to the same category) assembled together by the user. This works like e.g. Internet Explorer's "favorites". The versatility of this function can hardly be overstated, since it allows users to create persistent lists of entries belonging to different categories, assign descriptive names to these lists, and recall them at any time to conveniently view and work on them. Entries in bookmark sets can be individually arranged/moved to appear in any order (place in the list) the users wish.
Flexible search
InfoSnap features an extensive range of criteria that can be used to search for an entry, such as:
- Search in Title / Keywords / Comments / File names / Category names
- Search in specific date range
- Search only in specified categories (category filters)
- "AND" / "OR" keyword match
E-mail a set of entries
InfoSnap makes it easy to communicate information to other people. Simply select the entries you wish, click "e-mail selected entries" and enter the e-mail address of the recipient. That's it!
Export entries to an HTML page
To facilitate reading and browsing through entries, InfoSnap can export multiple entries to an HTML page. Simply select the entries you want, click "export to HTML" and select a name for the HTML page.
Customizable task assistant
Common tasks are grouped into panels (groups) in the Task Assistant. Users can choose which of the task groups will be visible. Also, panels can be collapsed or expanded at will.
Customizable toolbar
Frequently used functions can appear as buttons on the toolbar. Users can choose which of the buttons (functions) appear on the toolbar, and can also determine the order in which they appear, so that the working environment is customized to suit the users' needs.
